Welcome!!
I’m going to be sharing our journey in Homesteading adventure. I hope you will enjoy our story and learn things about chickens, goats, cattle, dogs, canning food, gardening, making tinctures, goat milk soap and lotion, growing and propagating plants, caring for the land by improving pasture and living off the land as much as possible.
Just so you know who you are learning from here is a little bit about us. We are conservative, don’t believe everything the ABC government agencies proclaim, I waterbath my canning jars, believe in supporting US companies and proud to be an American. If you don’t agree with any or all of this just go on your way and find someone you align with. We are all adults and this is my blog.
DISCLAIMER – I am NOT a doctor or veterinarian – but have experiences to share. I will share things that have worked for my family and animals. Please feel free to ask a professional before doing anything I have done if you are worried about anything.
Below are some links to take you to other pages.

My husband and I got married in 1986, we met on a blind date when we were in college, and lived in Colorado while we raised our three children and got them all married. My husband retired with 30 years as an inspector for the Colorado Department of Agriculture and I retired from teaching high school science. More about this life later on.

As you can tell it’s going to be many layers and details of all the things we knew that we applied, things we have learned, things we had to adjust, and what things look like 4 years into our homesteading. We don’t have all the answers and we are constantly learning, but I love sharing our experiences and helping people that want this life. Hopefully I can help you not fall into some of the pitfalls along your journey too.
